Digital services are providing essential tools for modern human life. The sheer amount of our personal data and advanced capabilities of the algorithm in the form of a machine learning, or artificial intelligence can give the power and advantage to people or government that were unparalleled in human history. The complexity of such capabilities and the widespread use of free (?) services are putting more and more people in peril. People with ignorance, language barrier, or children are among many who are mainly falling prey to these. Council of Europe made a declaration in February 2019 to tackle the Manipulative Capabilities of Algorithmic Processes. This goes beyond the privacy and data protection championed by GDPR.
